This policy explains what Snitt collects, where it goes, and your rights. It is part of the terms of use. Contact: contact@snitt.ai.
1. What we collect
Account data. Your email address and sign-in details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address from Google.
Your media. The published videos you import, the raw footage and audio you process, and measurements the app takes from them (timings, audio levels, transcripts). The app uploads these to our servers to do its work.
Service data. Job status, processing cost in minutes, error reports, and basic request logs. The website itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or trackers.
2. Where your media goes
Processing happens on our servers in the United States. Two categories of processor are involved:
- A speech-to-text provider — transcribes the audio.
- A language-model provider — analyzes the transcript to find filler words, retakes and structure.
Each receives only what it needs for its step. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your content to train models.
3. Retention
Uploaded footage and transcripts are kept while your account exists, and during the beta may be kept for internal testing of the editor against real projects. Cached analysis results expire automatically. If you ask us to delete your account (contact@snitt.ai), we delete it and your media within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep something longer. Residual copies in our backups expire on their own rotation shortly after.
4. Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you: contact@snitt.ai.
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, the GDPR applies. Our legal bases are the contract with you (running the service) and your consent (the beta testing use, which you can withdraw). You also have the right to object, to restrict processing, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Data is transferred to the US under standard contractual clauses with our providers.
5. Children
Snitt is not for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
6. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top is the version you are reading; material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
